No Umbrella

I'm always there
Always ready for you by your side

Although only when it rains you search for me
You take cover under me and hold me tight

But that's just the way it is
You never even notice me in your sunny days

I was just left there alone forgotten
Until the rain catch you again, and again


It's not that I don't like this condition
I'm really glad and proud that I can protect you

Even if it's against the whole world
I would stand there risking my life for you

But I know I can't do that without you
Just being there by your side is everything

It made me feel wanted, made me feel alive
Made me able to do many impossible things

Though I'm just a plain old umbrella for you
That needs repair and care for myself

That's why, my worst fear is being broken
And you'd replace me with a new one

A bigger and a more pretty one
but somehow it's too heavy for you

And then I hope you realize
That I'm not just another umbrella

But I'm the person who hold it up for you
